Rolfing
Kirsten Secker PHD. MSC. Chartered Physiotherapist
Imagine living in a flexible, balanced body that is at ease with itself and able to adapt to lifes physical, mental and emotional challenges. Rolfing is a hands on treatment that aims to bring the body into balance by helping release life-long patterns of tension.

If you think your body should feel better and move more easily, then rolfing may be right for you. On the other hand, you may not have anything to address but may wish to experience an inner sense of the body becoming 'freer'.

The body is a system of seamless networks of connective tissue, not a collection of separate parts. Rolfing structural integration works on the body by a gentle hands-on manipulation of this connective tissue.

Rolfing movement teaches you body awareness and co-ordination in motion. It encourages you to find inner strength and release outer tension. The aim to help you understand present movement patterns and explore the possibilities for freer movement in all daily activities you may be involved in (breathing, walking, standing, sitting etc).
